How to Insert Page Numbers in Microsoft Word ?

Navigate to the Insert Tab

Open your Word document and click on the Insert tab in the main ribbon at the top of the window.

Find the Page Number Option

In the Header & Footer section of the Insert tab, click the Page Number button. A dropdown menu will appear.

Choose the Position

From the dropdown menu, select the desired location for your page numbers, such as Top of Page or Bottom of Page.

A gallery of pre-designed page number styles will appear. Scroll through the options and click on the one you want to apply to your document.

Close the Header & Footer View

Word will automatically insert the page numbers and open the Header & Footer editor. To return to your document, click the Close Header and Footer button on the ribbon or double-click anywhere in the main body of the page.
